BUILDING OF THE YEAR 2024

Architect Name:
Trung Nguyen
Project Name:
RB HOUSE
Company Name:
Song A
Project Location:
phường Ninh Xá, Thành phố Bắc Ninh, Việt Nam
Project Description:
The primary concept is the staggered floor design, where varying floor heights create a seamless visual connection across levels, optimizing natural light and ventilation. This approach eliminates traditional floor boundaries, promoting an open, fluid spatial experience and effortless vertical movement, making stairs light and less tiring. The southeast garden, positioned above the living and kitchen areas, reduces roof heat absorption, eliminating the need for air conditioning. Indigenous plants require minimal maintenance, aligning with eco-friendly principles. TOSTEM aluminum-framed doors with wide panels maximize natural light and reduce electricity consumption. Recessed behind the canopy of trees, these doors limit direct sunlight while maintaining an airy space. High-quality materials ensure durability and sustainability. TOSTEM was chosen for its balanced aluminum profiles and high-quality door seals that enhance sound insulation. Their professional workflow and modern facilities ensure superior quality, embodying Japanese values of balancing functionality and aesthetics.
